[Bug 96921] [feisty] gnome-terminal emits wrong character for quote on GB keyboard

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

Press the ´ character (under the @) on a GB keyboard (set in System->Preferences->Keyboard) requires 
two presses and produces a unicode character which is, BTW, unrecognised by the shell as a single quote!
