Twisted Help for SIF?

I brought up the idea of using the "Schools Interoperability
Framework" to manage interprocess data sharing in Edubuntu a couple
weeks ago, and I've added it as a braindump proposal to the Ubuntu
Below Zero wiki
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SchoolsInteroperabilityFramework).

I've also made some progress getting some folks at SchoolForge UK
interested, and, more importantly, seem to have gotten the maintainer
of the moribund OpenZIS project to start a new round of work in Python
(instead of Java). So now we actually have the input of someone with
actual experience with SIF. What we need to really get this moving
forward now is a little push from a Twisted guru, because the famous
Python networking framework is the obvious tool to use for this job,
but none of us have much experience with it.

So... a little help at this point might go a long way. If you're
interested, whether or not you're a Twisted geek, we're discussing the
matter on a new list here: http://groups.google.com/group/sf-uk-mias
