Hi,
I tested edubuntu from the installer cd.
Install
=======
Install went fine on IBM Thinkpad T30.
Problems with S-ATA disks ?
-------------------------
Also, I tried on an AMD64 with a S-ATA Harddisk, but the installation
hangs during installing 'Grub' (The same is the case with an 'AMD64
Breezy-Colony4' installer cd). I suppose S-ATA disks support is still
somewhat limited under Linux!?
First impressions
=================
I love the Edubuntu icons! Especially the 'submit bugs' icon, so cute, I
want to submit more bugs now! ;-)
Nice improvements in Ubuntu such as 'Language Selector' & 'Smeg Menu
Editor'...
Disappearing 'Education' menu
-----------------------------
I also had the problem with the disappearing 'Education' section in the
'Applications' menu, as reported by Yves Combe. It re-appears after
logout/re-login.
Next, I will send some observations about problems with ...
* individual applications
* localisation (translations)
Greetings, Philipp
