What Hardware ?

Hi all, I'm setting up 2 new Edubuntu 7.04 Servers (PCs) for a school. I'm
going to buy the 2 servers new and I would like to know what hardware (
motherboard ) is going to work well with a default install of Edubuntu 7.04.
I don't want to have to start recompiling the kernal and things like that
just to get the sound to work. I prefer AMD machines with Gigabyte
motherboards, but as I said I'm getting the PCs new so I can really go for
anything.
While I'm at it, I'm probably going to have to get a couple of terminals new
aswell. What really cheap bottom of the range motherboards will work well
with Edubuntu 7.04? They must be able to boot off the onboard NIC, and the
onboard sound and graphics must 'just work'
Any suggestions would be a great help.
