Package recommendations for 4 yr. old?

gcompris has some modules apropriate to that age and goes up from
there.

tuxpaint is fun.

ktuberling is a mr. potatohead type game

my kids also like  planetpenguin-racer, but that one needs hardware 3D
accelelration so might not run well on your system.

Not exactly Edubuntu specific but as an online resource my kids LOVED
Boowa & Kwala at http://www.uptoten.com at that age, haven't looked in
a couple years but at the time all the activities ran fine on Linux.
