Hi all just to chime in here,
In the past I've had trouble getting Sabayon to work for us. For
instance I could never prevent students from accessing the terminal. I
use Winbind and Win2k3 to auth users so maybe that was part of the
problem.
In addition (IMO) it is pretty unintuitive and not particularly well
documented. I'd love to see something similar to the KDE kiosk tool
under GNOME or perhaps something in the System>Administration>login
window section that allowed you to set some very general userland
preferences for a "student mode desktop."
just my .02, and with deep appreciation for the work that folks have
put into Edubuntu.
