yeah, scott is a hero ... 
and you dont need any weird auth mechanisms on teh client either, it
just works !!! there are still a alot of integration things to do
(gconf, themeing, printing etc) but seems we'll have it in hardy :)

if you ever meet scott at a conference, pay him lots of beer and give
him a hug, he really deserves it :)
