Gutsy and old-style LTSP

Thanks Oli - I have spent some more time I should really have spent
doing other things on this today, and I find that...
1. The bug DOES affect LTSP-5 terminals with startx in lts.conf; and
2. Forcing GDM to downgrade to the version as at gutsy beta
(2.20.0-0ubuntu2) fixes it. I have added a comment to the existing bug,
which is really tracking two issues - using XDMCP into Gutsy, and using
XDMCP out of Gutsy to something else.

My problem with the ancient terminals is startup time rather than
responsiveness when running - I know the unencrypted mode works well.
But as I was testing for this issue I have found that they will PXE-boot
from a CD into LTSP-5 rather faster than ether-booting, and that when
using startx instead of ldm I still get sound! Bonus marks all round!

I'm afraid our users are used to the face browser in GDM, so we can't
really use ldm yet. They are young children and seniors - neither can
remember their login names.
