When you've finished installing packages, can I suggest you try approaching
the thin client problem like this:

1. Set a static IP address on the interface which faces the thin clients.
2. Make sure the DHCP server is running and configured as you want it.
3. Get a windows PC, place it on the network with the edubuntu dhcp server
and make sure it can get an ip address from that dhcp server which must
be the only dhcp server in place on that network.
4. Just to be sure, set a static ip address for your windows PC in
/etc/ltsp/dhcpd.conf, then reboot or refresh the IP in windows and
verify windows gets the new ip address.

Until this works, thin clients simply will not work.
