Autologin issue - again

Sorry to ask again, but I still cannot have autologin work properly.
I run an 8.04 server, modified the lst.conf file so that it says:

...
[00-0E-7F-...]      #  Thin client MAC address
       LDM_AUTOLOGIN=True
       LDM_USERNAME=foo
       LDM_PASSWORD=bar
...

But still no autologin: I get the usual prompt, and no automation at all.
Any suggestion ?
