Students in K12ltsp lab can't use vnc to access ubuntu ltsp server desktop

A few students have come to me from our other two ltsp labs that use K12LTSP
and have reported that they can't access my new Ubuntu ltsp lab using
vncviewer.  I've check and confirmed this.  I've googled around and not
found a good answer yet for this.

When we were 3 K12ltsp labs students could login to any of the other labs
using vnc without any issues.

Is there a way that I can set up the new Ubuntu ltsp server to allow remote
student logons??
