Lucid: Disable lock screen on timeout and is Gnome watchdog still necessary?

Hey all,

One new feature of Lucid that I dislike is that it defaults to locking a
user's screen after a set amount of time. Is there a way to easily disable
this feature, or even better, change it so it logs out the user rather than
locking their screen?

Also, does anyone know whether Gnome Watchdog is still necessary to install
with Lucid?
