kde print problems

This time is more a distro dependent problem.

Since I log into kde I get a notification 'an application has crashed
on your system (now or in the past)'
then a new widnows open with the message
'print program has die'
In details I get
 /usr/share/kde4/apps/printer-applet/printer-applet.py

Printing doesn't work from kde.

This on a new created user on kubuntu 12.04.
