Closed the upstream task, in the case of the update-manager package it is enough to have one task open, as the upstream update-manager package doesn't use launchpad for bug tracking.

Title:
progress-bar dialog too narrow for french localization

Status in Update Manager:
  Invalid
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

Since upgrade to Ubuntu 10.10, the dialog window displaying the
progress-bar for downloading and updates is too narrow to contain the
  background string translated in french.

The default width should be increased.
