  apt_check.py crashed with signal 7 in std::string::compare()

Status in “update-notifier” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-notifier

  It happened when I checked for updates using the update manager.

  The other bug reports do not have exactly the same title.

  So maybe this is another bug.
