Title:
installation crashed (also complains about not able to install
"starthanterare" which seem to mean grub)
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I just installed 11.04 beta1 via a 4GB USB, and at the end of the install process I first got a warning (seemingly from a package-health checkup pythonscript) which might have been about the nonfree (mp3?) plugins, that third checkbox in the beginning of the install process.
After clicking report (had to click report twice?) I got to the end of the install process, and got complaints about what is probably grub.
The 4GB USB was prepared using LiLi linux usb creator, but I installed using the included wubi.exe. One idea is if the installation helper created by wubi.exe interfered with installing grub?
(as the ubiquity crash popup window suggested, filing this as ubuquity
for now and attaching suggested files)
