Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it
seems that there is an issue with your network configurtion and that
there is a proxy server that is preventing access to Ubuntu packages.
This issue is thoroughly documented in bug 346386 and has been resolved
in an updated version of apt in Natty updates. You could install the
new version of apt on your Live CD using 'sudo apt-get install apt' or
try installing Ubuntu on a different network or try installing Oneiric -
the development version of Ubuntu. Thanks and good luck!

Title:
Desktop installer 11.04 amd64 crashes
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I tried to install with the Desktop installer 11.04 amd64 (downloaded
3 May 2011 from Ubuntu torrent) next to Windows 7 with the option to
share all data to Ubuntu. Chosen options: English language, Copenhagen
timezone, Danish keyboard and using a 20 GB empty partition besides
the 108 GB Windows 7 NTFS partition. It keeps crashing during the
installation.
I have copied /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman into a single file,
since the bug reporting system can seemingly only attach one
attachment. I think it might be easier for everyone if you enabled
multiple attachments :-)
