  after upgrade and internet loss i can not update, really need help
  with this

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  upgraded to natty 11.04 and all was fine until my internet went down
  for a few days and now i can not update and everytime i do i get this
  message Could not initialise the package information

  An unresolvable problem occurred while initialising the package
  information.

  Please report this bug for the 'update-manager' package and try to
  include the following error message:

  'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with
  MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/gb.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_natty-
  updates_main_i18n_Translation-en, E:The package lists or status file
  could not be parsed or opened.'

  i have tried to sort it out by following all the tips and advice on
  the linux ubuntu wiki but all have failed to resolve the problem, can
  anyone help, please, many thanks mandy.
