Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

  'E:Problem parsing dependency Suggests, E:Error occurred while
  processing librpc-xml-perl (NewVersion1), E:Problem with MergeList
  /var/lib/dpkg/status, E:The package lists or status file could not be
  parsed or opened.'

  got the problem nbot only when upadatin ubuntu 9.04 but also everytime
  when I try to install new software. It is indicated as "unresolvable
  problem"
