Sorry. The bug has appeared in a very old version of aptdaemon and seems
to be a problem with pycentral, too. I hope that is ok for you if I
close the bug as won't fix.

  Error during execution of the script
   /var/cache/apt/archives/python-aptdaemon_0.11+bzr345-0ubuntu4.1_all.deb
  E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

  problem with the apt-daemon package 
  system version Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS

  Now the apt-get program doesn't work at all : i have the same error when i try to do apt-get upgrade or apt-get -f install.
  I don't use any "unsafe" program but the weekly release of cairo dock.
