Hi,

I'm sorry for the delay in replying but the system I reported the bug is
now in production using Ubuntu 10.04. I'm not sure when I will take it
out for re-install, but I will take care to submit a new bug if indeed
it doesn't work again. Thanks, and sorry for the lack of feedback.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

  Installing Ubutnu 10.10 from USB drive to laptop HDD on /dev/sda6 ~
  90GB

  crashes with no obvious output, most of the way through the
  installation process.

  I attach /var/log/syslog
