[Bug 899404] [NEW] avahi stops responding

Public bug reported:

Previously working fine until and apt-get update ; apt-get upgrade
today.

avahi-daemon starts and services are available.
After 5 minutes all services stop responding.

Restart avahi and the services reappear.

In addition, I can no longer use avahi-browse to see other computers on
the network.

An up-to-date desktop install is not having the same issues.

I have turned off ipv6, no effect.
I opened iptables to allow all inbound and outbound to no effect.

Using the standard avahi-daemon.conf.

As I said, previously working fine, did the update and now broken.
