Title:
Copying a huge NTFS partition (e.g., > 100 GB) never finishes

Status in Gnome Partition Editor:
  Fix Released
Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gparted

Copying huge NTFS partitions never finishes due to a bug in formatting
ntfsclone's output _after_ it successfully finished the operation.
This is fixed upstream and expected to be included in GParted's 0.5.2
  release.

As this seems to be a common use case I'm asking you to consider
applying following commit to fix this bug if it's not planned to
  include 0.5.2 in Lucid:
  http://git.gnome.org/browse/gparted/commit/?id=260e0ea1902e066bfe233e4a505ae800755572bc
