This shows that the Dropbox-provided package is correctly installed. I
have no idea why gdebi would not work in this situation. Reaffecting the
bug against this package.
** Package changed: nautilus-dropbox (Ubuntu) => gdebi (Ubuntu)

Title:
installation of original package from www.dropbox.com failed - Dropbox
works
Status in “gdebi” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I got an installation of Xubuntu 11.10 but had to reinstall it, /home has an extra partition so the dropbox folder was kept.
After the installation everything worked fine and i wanted to install dropbox.
The installation of the original package from Synaptic worked but the download of the daemon failed in 4 cases and i had to run:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
to repair the packages.
I uninstalled every time the package and tried it again with the package from the dropbox website.
- In the Ubuntu Software Center nothing happend (another bug?)
- with gdebi i got this message twice:
Fehler: Zerstört vorhandenes Paket »nautilus-dropbox« (Konflikt:
nautilus-dropbox ( ))
Unstallation und reinstallation didn't solve the problem.
BUT: After the third try i ignored the problem and the Dropbox icon
appeared and synchronized my folders!
Again i tried to reinstall the package with gdebi but got again this
error! (s. screener)
