[Bug 902783] [NEW] "Find Best Server" causes Software Sources to hang

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Steps to reproduce:

1) Go into System Settings
2) Software Sources
3) Under the "Download From" dropbox, select "Other..."
4) Click "Select Best Server"
5) Search test will hang at about 50% completion (reproducible 100% for me)
6) Cancel the search.
7) Attempt to close Software Sources.  This will cause Software Sources to hang, requiring a Force Quit.

This bug is reproducible 100% under Ubuntu 11.10, all updates installed
as of Dec. 11/2011.
