Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  ...  neither in /dev/sda1 nor in /dev/sda, on a HDD with GPT prepared with Gparted from the same LiveCD ( 32bit-Ubuntu11.10 DVD from c't kompakt 01/12 magazine ) during installation of Ubuntu from LiveCD.
  Hardware is a FSC v5535 laptop with a 160GB HDD from Samsung.
