No, it required fixing the same issue that was fixed in that samba build
in Debian which was taken care of as bug 907227.

  The  libkrb5-3 that entered Precise today Breaks libsmbclient (<=
  2:3.6.1-2), which in turn breaks gvfs-backends. Fixing this requires
  merging a newer Samba from Debian (Precise currently has 2:3.5.11
  ~dfsg-4ubuntu3).
