You have been subscribed to a public bug:

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package
information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Opening /etc/apt/sources.list.d/private-ppa.launchpad.net_commercial-ppa-uploaders_fluendo-dvd_ubuntu.list - ifstream::ifstream (13: Permission denied)'

I have tried to spot the error in both repository and software sources
and sources list.d. And I cannot find the syntactical error. I tried
commenting in both repository and soft ware sources, and that didn't
work. I uninstalled the package through Synaptic, and I still couldn't
get to Software Center. And then the notice was given to report the bug.
This is a commercial app I purchased, the media player, from canonical.

Ubuntu 11.10, fluendo media player, I can't get to Software package to
find exact name. I expected to be able to strighten out the syntax, but
it is beyond me. I found out about this "syntactical error" when I was
using Ailurus. And the instructions pointed out the error and expected
me to be able to correct the syntax. I'm not yet that familiar with
computers that I could act on this.
