I just bought a SAMSUNG NPV305 with a AMD A4 APU with a ATI Radeon HD 6480G integrated into the proccesor. Installing Ubuntu 11.10 was very difficult, normal Live CD would only turn off the screen, and nthing can be done. Tried the alternate install, but when install was full, everything got same results, screen was turned off. Tried the Fn/Alt+F4 with no results, but I discovered video worked with the HDMI video out, but Ubiquity would not be very useful on 640x480. Couldn´t change resolution. Still, I somehow managed to finish the install at low resolution, only to find LightDM would just restart everytime I wanted to login. However, Guest session worked. I finally managed to install fglrx driver via GeTTY, and after a reboot my screen worked at its native resolution (1366x768). Things I can´t fix are 1024x768 resolution on GeTTYs and on boot process, (I usually disable plymouth splash).
I am using Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric 64-bit. Kernel >3.0

(I tried #! to see if kernel ~2.6 worked, and video outputed but at
wrong resolution.)
