Intrepid is end of support. Marking the bug as Won't fix.
You may want to try LDM_DIRECTX=True in your lts.conf to avoid sending
all the X traffic over SSH. This usually boosts performance on slower
thin clients at the price of sending X events clear text over the
network.

Title:
Poor graphic performance and slow boot on Evo T20
Status in “ltsp” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
I'm trying to set up Compaq\HP Evo T20 as a thin client for Kubuntu.
The problem is it's unusable because of the really bad graphic
performance. Especially when compared to some old PIII Compaq Deskpro.
This other box also boots significantly faster. And I don't know if
it's related, but the resolution is not set properly, it's 800x600 and
should be 1280x1024. I cannot even set higher resolution manualy. The
other box doesn't have this problem. Both of the clients are
connecting to the same Intrepid LTSP server over PXE. The server is a
virtual machine (kvm), the host is also Ubuntu.
