[Bug 816689] [NEW] Ubuntu 11.10 Daily Build (2011-07-26) won't boot (alternate amd64+mac) on a newer MacBook Pro

The summary says it all.  I insert the disc into my MacBook Pro, reboot,
hold down the C key.  It loads up the ISO loader screen.  I select
"Install Ubuntu", the screen goes black and remains that way.

Please let me know if there is any more information I can give.
