Title:
"Installer Crashed" on creating user
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
Whenever I try to install Ubuntu 10.10 \ PinguyOS (based on Ubuntu
10.10) the installed crashes during the creating user part. I am
running a LiveUSB install from the downloaded ISO, and have tried re-
installing on multiple flash drives. It boots up just fine, and even
sleeps and wakes up properly, but will not install on my laptop.
Installs OK on an older desktop, although it did crash on that a
couple times before it worked. My laptop is the HP tm2-2050CA,
i3-330UM, 4GB\500GB, Broadcom 4313, Realtek R1000 Ethernet. I have
attached the log files. /var/log/partman seems to be ok, but
/var/log/syslog is showing errors with
/usr/share/ubiquity/plugininstall.py and additionally says
"InstallStepError: Plugin usersetup failed with code 32" Please help.
