Title:
  Installer Crashed on 10.10

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

I have a new T410 that I want to install Ubuntu on but leave the
  hardware testing software installed (ThinkVantage)

I did a custom partition, preserving the NTFS filesystems that were at
the beginning and end of the drive. With the middle 300Gb, I broke it
up into the partition structure I wanted for my new system.

Install started fine. I walked away and came to an error message
saying a certain package could not be uninstalled. The package name
was missing from the error dialog.
