** Description changed:

Failure to provide hardware support for Viewsonic VA1916w. Problems from
Splash screen graphical issues to now recent Out of Range error.

Graphics driver is to be left out of the picture on this issue. Because
open source and close source have same graphical issues. So do not have
ask for it because you will not get it.

On previous releases, Ubuntu failed to set correct resolution on several
  occasions.

I took a video of the start-up procedure. First picture was manual GDM startup from Recovery mode.

I am downgrading to Ubuntu 10.10 for a usable system so i am unable to
  add more details.

+ Look at my previous videos detailing Ubuntu failures
+
+ Ubuntu 11.04 Beta 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dq-d4fK-lW4
+ Ubuntu 10.10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvkaAvJCT_s
+
+ It should be obvious that this is not graphics driver issue.
