Title:
Update Manager - could not intialize package information

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/archive.canonical.com_ubuntu_dists_natty_partner_binary-i386_Packages, E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.'
  Using version Ubuntu version 11.04
  Can't use "apt-cache policy update-manager"
What expected to happen: that update manager would finish reading updates and provide a list of the them to down load and apply.
What happened: Update manager fails reading from "canonical ..." it appears.
