[Bug 790517] Re: Upgrade to kubuntu natty failed

Final remark: The update finished successfully. The system won't boot (I
had to use Lilo before, which seems not to work anymore, and am now
configuring grub), but that has nothing to do with the update-manager.

Thank you very much for your help, gentlemen.

Best regards,
--Christoph.

Title:
  Upgrade to kubuntu natty failed

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

Current release is 10.10, no outstanding updates.
I did update from the lucid lynx 10.04. a week (or so) ago.
The distribution update (from the package manager, when it suggests "a new distribution is available") fails with
"Could not determine the upgrade"; I tried it three or four times over the last days, and the error is reproducible.
