Hi,

Can you describe the problem in more detail? What's your definition of
'high' and how long does it stay high? When I install something the
overall CPU usage for all the different bits involved in installation
(aptd, dpkg etc) is around 50%

Are you using top or some other method to get the CPU usage?

Just as importantly does this happen with every application or just
some, and can you reproduce it easily?
