Title:
  package grub-pc 1.98-1ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess
  installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

  While upgrading 9.10 to 10.04 the process halted.    (while I was
  dozing)

  I cleared every thing and restarted the computer.

  Two extra lines appeared in GRUB, but it booted anywhy.

  
  When I clicked on an odd icon on the top bar it reported an error.

  All old APPS. are missing.

  Should I delete everything and start anew with 10.04?

  PS    I do not use email on this machine so it takes time to get mail
  from my other unit.
