I think this should be marked as High priority. I see Hernando saying
that it's only affecting him 1 in 20 boots using Nvidia, but I have the
inverse experience where it only boots less than 1 time in 20 tries
(closer to 30).
If your motherboard only has USB2/3/esata ports, like mine, you can't
RSEIUB because none of the USB devices (including keyboard) are
recognized when udevd runs into this error. So, may the gods have more
mercy on your BTRFS partitions than they did on mine.

RAM: 6 GB DDR3-1600 Triple Channel
Vid: PNY GeForce GTX 465 (1GB RAM) using nvidia-current
MB: Intel X58
There are 10 people reporting the issue now; I suspect we'll see a lot
more reports of this issue once we hit beta.

Title:
udevd fails to start: bind failed: Address already in use
Status in “udev” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: udev
Booting fails 4 out of 5 times when running my hybrid graphics
ThinkPad T510 with Intel HD graphics. The boot gets stuck either at a
black screen or the text mode Plymouth theme. This also rarely happens
when using the notebook's dedicated Nvidia graphics /w Nouveau.
lsmod while the system hangs (ssh access possible):
http://paste.ubuntu.com/612274/
Using text mode boot revealed following udev errors:
udevd[***]: error: runtime directory '/run/udev' not writable, for now falling back to '/dev/.udev'
udevd[***]: bind failed: Address already in use
udevd[***]: error binding udev control socket
init: udev main process (***) terminated with status 1
init: udev main process ended, respawning
init: udev-fallback-graphics main process (***) terminated with status 1
Same happens with Natty's kernel.
After downgrading udev to Natty's version 167-0ubuntu2, the machine
booted fine again.
