The error message is:
Setting up grub-pc (1.98-1ubuntu12) ...
/etc/default/grub: 9: acpi=linux: not found

It looks like you have bad data in /etc/default/grub. I don't where it
comes from so I reassign to grub2 but it might well be a mistake of your
part. In that case, please mark the bug as invalid.
