Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vim-gnome

I have the netbook gui installed (i don't know what it's called), the
one which uses one global menu for all application.

To reproduce:
Start GVim

What happens:
you do not get a menu, regardless of maximisation state of the window.
you cannot even press Alt+F to get the File menu opened

What should happen:
you should get the menu in the top panel

** Affects: vim (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
