Title:
Migrate documents and settings when installing 10.04 lucid SHOULD
  warn

Status in “migration-assistant” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Migrate documents and settings is when installing 10.04 lucid SHOULD
  warn that:

  - Copy files (instead of creating a shortcut or alias)

And check that the target is larger than the source.
My experience is that I found in /home 0 bytes free, and had no permissions to write to the desktop (have talked root)
