hi, revitalising this thread here

Have the same issue after adding the debian squeeze repositories into my resource list.
It started also in conjunction with not enough cache space for APT, so i had to increase the cache site in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/70deb.conf

console updates and upgrades do work, It seems only the GUI update
manager seems to have some issues about it...
