Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

  update-manager is telling me I have updates, amongst which is dpkg

    Installed: 1.15.5.6ubuntu4.1
    Candidate: 1.15.5.6ubuntu4.3

  Clicking the "Install Updates" button results in no visible activity.
  However, the following is appended to ~/.xsession-errors:
