What media were you using to install Ubuntu 11.04?  This does not look
like an official Ubuntu CD.

  Ubuntu 11.04 Install crash

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Having upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10 to 11.04 to 11.10 in sequence I
  experienced extreme slowness. Installing 64bit 11.04 from a cd to
  replace 11.10 resulted in crash and instruction to file a bug report.
  The installer crashed with the progress bar on 3/4.
