The hard drive crashed "permanently" on subsequent attempts to build on
it. So the the error detection and response methodolgy worked. The only
difficulty I had was signing up for Launchpad during my report. As I am
a new user, I did not have a Launchpad account and creating a new
account involved me receiving a code number which I couldnt do on a
system that was not built yet. I don't consider this worth trying to fix
!!!!!
As a person who has been involved with computers since 1964 , I love
what I am seeing with Ubuntu and look forward to using it once I buy a
new hard drive!!!
