Title:
race condition at boot: apache2 and postfix started before networking
is ready
Status in “upstart” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
When booting, apache2 and postfix are started before the network is
ready, and they therefore fail to start. Postfix error log states
"fatal: bind 2001:1af8:2100:b070:4::1 port 25: Cannot assign requested
address".
When after boot these services are started manually, they work fine,
indicating the problem is not with apache2 and postfix, but with the
time ubuntu chooses to start them.
Description: Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS
Release: 10.04
