[Bug 890090] Re: dist upgrade to 11.10 fails

Could you please run the following command in a terminal and then change the status of this report back to new:
apport-collect 890090

That will attach relevant log files and system information to this
report which developers and other bug triagers can use to determine the
problem. Thanks in advance.

Bug description:
  Upgrade halts with the error message, "After your package information
  was updated the essential package 'ubuntu-minimal' can not be found
  any more."
