Public bug reported:

I know there are a lot of question about this, but I couldn't find any
answer.

I have a custom desktop PC in which I can send the system to sleep /
hibernate without apparently any problems. However, when I want to wake
it up, it fails.

If I suspended:

-The fans start working and the power LED gets on (i.e. it's waking up)
but rapidly goes off. After a few seconds, sort of tries to wake up
again, with the same result. This to the infinite. -The display (via
DVI) doesn't get any input (not even black). -The mouse and keyboard
(both USB) don't get power.

So I can't do anything more than press the power button for a long time and power off the hard way.
After one of those crashes, I got this message from the motherboard: "Overclocking failed! Enter setup to reconfigure your system"

If I hibernated: -It gets to grub without any problem but, after
selecting Ubuntu, it crashes and restarts. However, sometimes does wake
up.

I have:

    Processor: Intel i5 2400
    Motherboard: Asus p8p67 LE
    Gigabyte nvidia GTS 450

Just in case it matters, I have / installed in a SSD and /var /tmp /swap
and /home in a HDD drive.

Of course, the expected behaviour would be that the system woke up
properly.

By the way, I have virtualbox installed, read somewhere that it can
interfere with the process.

Hope you can help me

Thanks in advance.
