[Bug 863395] [NEW] Ubuntu software center ubuntu 11.10 amd64 won't install most apps

Openshot being one of them, at least half the apps I have installed even
from official repository I have had to drop to terminal to install at
clicking the install button does nothing at all. And alien arena which
did install from it won't launch. Not that I mind using the command line
but the software center is an important piece to have working. Also I
have to run updates through terminal as well.
